34 Years

This is a layout for hubby's retirement album I'm making for him. He retired back in 2010 so I'm a bit behind but I'm abut 75% finished. That's pretty good for me! Anyway, this layout is for a tutorial challenge over at Turtle Soup. The tutorial was about using Tagxedo to make word clouds. It was so much fun to play around with. Be sure and check out the tutorial here. I love how my tree shaped word cloud turned out and it was perfect since hubby was the Parks and Forestry Supervisor for the City of Malden, MA.

I started by stenciling the top half of the background paper with a tree stencil and light tan ink. All the papers are scraps from Simple Stories 24/7 collection and Crate Paper Diy Shop Collection. Then I added some wooden shapes and outlined the tree shaped word cloud with some gold Smooch paint to make it stand out better.

Happy Scrapping!
