Wish Card

We've got a DT card reveal at the Just Imagine Crafts Blog today. The theme this month is April showers, spring, and flowers.

I used Kreaxions punch #920 with the C insert for the corners. For the background I inked over a stencil and then used a flower stencil with modeling paste and added glitter before it dried. Butterflies make me think of Spring so I added this one that I had taken from a pre-made card I had received. Then just stamped the sentiment.

Thinking of You Card

Today I have a card up on the Just Imagine Blog using one of the Kreaxions punches.

I used Kreaxions punch #917 without any of the inserts.  I then backed it with a strip of black paper so the hearts would stand out. And just by coincidence, the sentiment stamp has a couple of hearts on it also.

A Perfect Autumn Day

I've got a challenge up today in the Turtle Soup April Mini Crop. The theme this month is to use up your stash and my challenge is to use your stash of bling.

I didn't use very much bling but I did finish up a sheet of pearls. The papers are from an Echo Park collection (I think). For the background I used a stencil with some modeling paste and then swiped some ink on some packaging film, mixed in a couple drops of water and smooshed it on top. Then stamped a few flowers, added some layers and my photo.

Please come join us at Turtle Soup for our Mini Crop. Lots of fun challenges and you'll use up some of your stash if you play along! Hope to see you there!

Spring is in the Air

It's spring time and that means flowers are blooming and butterflies are flying. I decided to bring it all together in this card that I have up on the Just Imagine Crafts blog today.

I did a faux letterpress for the background and then a blue color wash using watercolor pencils with a water brush. I added the burlap/twine ribbon and used Kreaxions punch #920 to punch the green and white strips. Then added the butterfly, twine and flower. Please stop by and check out our blog.

Bride and Groom

Today at Scrapping Turtle we have a DT sketch reveal challenge. Please stop by and play along with us and see all the different takes on the fabulous sketch we had to work with.

Here is the sketch

I love this sketch and it was perfect for one of my parents wedding photos. I found their wedding album while cleaning out their house. I had never seen it before and unfortunately it was in sad shape. The plastic on top of the photos had deteriorated and pieces were stuck to the photos. We spent hours trying to get the plastic off.  Anyway, this is a pretty simple page but I wanted the focus to be on the photo.
