Easter Card

Thought I'd get a jump on some Easter Cards today. This one is another entry into the sketch challenge up at Scrapping For Less. I really liked the sketch and it was just perfect for this card.

Here's the sketch

I found this little lamb on Pinterest years ago and finally decided to use it. I cut out all the pieces with my Cricut. I embossed her body and ran some ice blue ink across the embossing to give her some depth and dimension. She looked a little bare so I added the branch and flower and then decided to use some tiny flowers for her hair. The sentiment was stamped and die cut using a set from Lawn Fawn. The flowers have been in my stash for years so I stamped them with some blue ink and added a drop of Nuvo drops in each one.

Sunshine and Pink

Here's a card I made today that fits 2 different challenges. I just love this flamingo!

This fits the new challenge over at Cards in Envy where the theme is Give It Some Heart. You have to include some hearts on your card.

This also fits a sketch challenge over at Scrapping for Less. Here's the sketch:

I started this card by cutting a circle and then using ink I added the sky and then for the water I used several different colors of watercolor paint. I then stamped the sea grass along the bottom. The flamingo along with the hearts were cut using an MFT die and then colored with Spectrum Noir markers. The sentiment is also from MFT. I had so much fun with this card.

Lots of Hearts

We're having our monthly Mini Crop over at Creative Inspiration this week. The theme is all things red, love, family, kids, valentines and hearts. My challenge is to use hearts on your project and you must use several different sizes of hearts. Here's my layout:

The die cut hearts were done with my Cricut and then backed with some old Echo Park papers. I sponged on some ink around the edges of the white background and then scattered several different sized heart stickers around the page.

I hope you'll stop by Creative Inspiration and play along with our Mini Crop. Lots of fun challenges going on with some amazing inspiration pieces from our DT.

Valentine's Day Card

Here's another love card I made and will also be entering it in the Cards In Envy love you so much themed challenge.

For the background, I started by dabbing some red watercolor paint in the center of the card. I then added some tiny flicks of gold and red watercolor paints. The heart is from a Tim Holtz die and I cut the word love out with my Cricut. Added some sequins and it was done.

Love

Here's a Valentine's Day card I made for my husband. I'll be entering this into the Cards In Envy love you so much themed challenge.

I cut the word love with my Cricut and punched the little gold hearts. I stamped and embossed the word you and the red heart is a sparkly sticker. This was a quick and easy card and hubby loved it. But he might be a bit biased. lol

Ride

I'm up today at Sketches in Thyme with a sketch reveal. I love this sketch we have to work with this week. It has so many possibilities. This is an old photo of my granddaughter sitting on a horse for the first time. And with this layout done I have finished up her album for 2013! Not too far behind, am I?

And here's the sketch

We'll be having a DT reveal each day this week for this sketch, so please stop by to see all the different takes and play along with us.

Engagement Card

My stepdaughter just got engaged so naturally I had to make a card for her and her fiancee. This also fits a card sketch challenge over at Creative Inspiration.

I also got to try out my new banner dies and I love how nice they cut! They actually make 3 different sizes but I only used 2 here. It's hard to see in the photo but the black paper, except for the card base, has multi-color glitter in it and the floral printed paper has gold foil in it. It just makes the card so sparkly.

Dear Santa

It's  the 1st Monday of the month so that means we've got a DT sketch reveal going on at Creative Inspiration today.  It's kind of hard to see the photos on my layout, but they are photos of my 7 year old granddaughter's Christmas list to Santa. She's only in 1st grade but I had to laugh at some of her  spelling and I can't figure some of it out. She spells Christmas as Crismiss and Wonder Woman as Wudr womin.  Soooooo cute! I'm sure she'll get a kick out of this when she's older! Or maybe not!

And here's this month's sketch

This was a fun sketch to work with! Be sure to stop by Creative Inspiration, check out all the different takes on this sketch by our Design Team and play along with us!

Valentine Card

Here's a Valentine's Day Card I made for the Heart Challenge over at Creative with Stamps Challenge Blog.

I just got some new edge dies and I've been having fun playing with them. I love how they just pop against the solid background. To make this card, I started with a red cardstock for the base and used white cardstock for the die cut. I stamped with Versamark Ink on more red cardstock and embossed it using ivory gold embossing powder. It's hard to see in the photo but it really does sparkle. The little petals on the flowers on the die cut actually pop up which really gives the card some dimension and I just placed a little red nail head in the center of each one.
