Pool Time

We've got a Mini Crop going on over at Creative Inspiration and this month's theme is color. Every challenge will be using a different color. My challenge is to use yellow on your project. You can add in another color but yellow must be the most prominent color.

I pulled a bunch of scraps out and made a 4 layer mat for the photo. The bubbles around the photo were done with a stencil and some glass bead texture gel mixed with some blue gelato. It's hard to see in the photo but the glass beads really make them look like bubbles. Then I just went through my stash and pulled out different embellishments.

I hope you'll come join our mini crop and play along. There's always lots of inspiration there!

Snow Fun

I've got a sketch reveal up at Sketches in Thyme today. We had a fun sketch from Bev Code to work with.

This came together so quickly. I used a stencil and modeling paste on the background paper and then used the smooshing technique with some water color paint. For the big circle behind the photo, the little chipboard circle and title, I covered them all with some Distress Oxide ink and then sprinkled water on top. I also flicked some silver ink from a Wink Of Luna pen on the big circle. Added a few old brads and it was done!

Creative Inspiration Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creative Inspiration Blog Hop!

I know everyone's anxious for spring to get here so we decided to hold a Spring Themed Blog Hop.
Here is my spring themed project. These photos are from the Disney Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot last year. It was so pretty and very colorful. I thought these photos would be perfect for our blog hop!

My challenge to you is to use some flowers and butterflies on your spring time project. You can make a layout, card, ATC or some home decor.

Be sure and visit all the blogs below. Leave a comment on each one so we know you've stopped by.

Tracy Feeley - you are here

Then using something you saw on the hop that inspired you, create and share your project in the comments section of the Creative Inspiration website under the Saturday, April 7th DT Blog Hop Challenge. Be sure to comment here on my blog so that you will be eligible for a prize drawing. You have all month long to play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by!

Rockport

We've got a DT sketch reveal going on over at Creative Inspiration today. I just fell in love with this sketch and here's my take on it. I hope you'll stop by and check out all the other DT member's layouts and be sure to play along with us. We'd love to see your take on the sketch!

Here's the sketch

My layout was done using some really old papers I've had in my stash. Actually the paper with the red crabs on it is from a DCWV stack that is probably at least 10 years old. The stickers for the title were some of the first stickers I ever bought, so they are from 2006. It always makes me feel good when I use up some old stash!
