Celebrate

Here's a card I made today for two challenges. The first is for Atlantic Hearts Sketch #300 challenge and also for the Use Your Stash challenge at Creative Inspiration.

Here's the sketch from AHSC

This is such a pretty sketch! I really enjoyed working with it!

For the Use Your Stash challenge you had to use 2 items you've had in your stash for a while. That was so easy to come up with. I used all scraps (except for the card base), washi tape and flowers.

Winter Wonderland

We've got a mini crop going on over at Creative Inspiration and this month's theme is Out with the Old In with the New, New Years, Winter Wonderland, Holiday Celebrations, Resolutions or Year in Review. Lots of choices there, so I'm sure you can come up with some kind of project!

Here's mine

I started with a white background and stenciled some glass bead texture paste mixed with some blue gelatos randomly around the page. Then just rummaged through my stash and found all sorts of wintery embellies to add to my Winter Wonderland.

Thanks

Here's a quick and easy card I made while playing with some new dies I recently bought. I also used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge #299.

Once I decided on my colors, I die cut the flowers from 3 different papers, layered them and attached them with a big brad. I also bent the flowers up to give the card some more dimension. The thanks was also die cut using the same shiny gray background paper.

I really like the sketches at Atlantic Hearts Challenge Blog. They have so many possibilities! I wish I'd found them sooner!

Rockport

I've got a sketch reveal up at Sketches in Thyme today and I hope you'll join us  and enter your take on our sketch. Here's my layout...

Here's the sketch

This was a fun sketch to work with!  I don't print my own photos so I never have the smaller size photos for a multi photo sketch. So I had to come up with something different and decided to use some pretty printed papers for my other "photos". I love how it came out and will definitely be using this design on other layouts.

Valentine's Day Card

I've got a Valentine's Day card up on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today. I decided to go with a non-traditional color for a change.

I love this heart and flower die by Cheapo Dies but I wanted to cut it using two different papers. I cut it twice using white cardstock and a pink printed paper. Then I cut the flowered area off the pink die cuts and layered them on top of the white cardstock die cuts using some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever with the ScraPerfect No Clog Small Writing Tip.

I layered the heart on some deep purple cardstock that I die cut using the Frantic Stamper Stitched Rounded Rectangles dies. Layered that on a lighter purple cardstock that I had added some washi tape to and used a white base for the card. Digging through my stash I found the little pink heart sequins and added some Nuvo Drops in pink to the flowers.

Supplies Used:

Cheapo Dies - Heart Frame

Frantic Stamper - Dies - Stitched Rounded Rectangles

Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Carnation Pink

Best Glue Ever

Scraperfect - No Clog Writing Cap - Small

Cool Card

I had a chance to play with the new card kit from Scrapping for Less. This is a really fun kit and it's all about winter. The stamps are super cute and the papers are such pretty colors.

Isn't this penguin super cute! And I love that stamp. The die cut and stamp go so perfectly together!

Box Birthday Card

I've got a box style Birthday Card up on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today. I love making these kind of cards and everyone seems to really like getting them.

I used my Cricut to cut the base card out but there are plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to make one without a Cricut, just search for Box Cards. I used blue cardstock for the base and papers from the Doodlebug Kitten Smitten paper pad. All the little kitties were cut using the Impression Obsession Mini Cats dies.
Here's a closeup of all the kitties

Supplies Used

Impression Obsession - Dies - Mini Cats

Impression Obsession - Dies - Greeting Set

Doodlebug - Paper Pad - 6

Best Glue Ever

Scraperfect - No Clog Writing Cap - Small

Time to Fly

Here's a card I created today for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #298.

Here's the sketch

I just love this sketch.....so many possibilities! Since I haven't had a chance to play lately due to the holidays, I pulled out my untouched November card kit from Scrapping For Less. What a great kit! I love this sentiment stamp and just had to use it. It was perfect for the AHS sketch.

Battleship

We've got a DT layout and card sketch reveal up today over at Creative Inspiration. I chose to do the layout and thought it was perfect for this photo of my husband and granddaughters playing Battleship. I love how the youngest one is showing Papa how to play!

This was a fun sketch to play with. I recently bought some iridescent pastel watercolor paints and tried the gray out here in the corners. Then added some texture with a stencil and modeling paste. All the papers I used came from my scrap stash and the title came from a very old page of letter stickers.

I hope you'll stop by Creative Inspiration and check out the rest of the reveal and maybe even play along with us!
