Father's Day Card

Thought I'd get a head start on my one Father's Day card I need this year. That and seeing that Cards In Envy has a masculine card challenge going on.

I tore a page from an old paperback book, tore all the edges to fit the base card and inked over the page with light brown ink to make it look even older than it is. Then stamped the old car and distressed stars. Thought it needed some color so added the red accents and twine.

Funny Face

Here's a layout I did for one of the mini crop challenges at Turtle Soup. For this challenge you had to use nesting frame dies.

These are Spellbinders dies that I've had for years and forgot how fun they are. I've had this photo for a while and had no idea what the story behind it was so I thought it would be perfect to frame that cute little face.

Striking a Pose

Here's a layout I did for a challenge at Turtle Soup's May Mini Crop going on now. You had to use a die cut banner on your layout. I haven't made a banner in quite a while so I really enjoyed making this one.

I wanted to make a banner that went along with the photo of my granddaughter dressed in her cheerleading uniform so I cut out some pompoms with my cricut. I cut them out in blue and white and then layered them. I love how they came out.

Come join us at Turtle Soup and play along with our mini crop. This month's theme is die cuts and there are a lot of great challenges going on! Hope to see you there!

Even more Thank You Cards!

And here are the last few thank you cards.

I was on such a roll making these cards. I could have kept on going but I needed to get them in the mail before we left on vacation. At least my friend has a good start on thank you cards.

Second Grade

We've got a DT sketch reveal going on today at Turtle Soup. I just love sketch reveals!

And here's the sketch we used

The papers I used are a combination of Graphic 45 School Days and October Afternoon Public Library. I thought they went together well.
Please come join us at Turtle Soup and see all the DT members take on this sketch and then join in and show us your take on the sketch too. Hope to see you there!

Happy Scrapping!

More Thank You Cards

And here are a few more cards I made for my friend.

Most of these design ideas are from Pinterest. It would have taken me forever to come up with so many different designs in such a short time. Thank goodness for Pinterest!

Thank You Cards

I have a dear friend who just had surgery due to breast cancer and thankfully it looks like they caught it early enough and the surgery was successful. She still has a long road of recovery ahead of her. She lives across the country from me and I was trying to think of something I could do that would help her. I finally came up with thank you cards. I'm sure she could use a ton so I've been busy the past couple of days making some for her.

Celebrating National Scrapbooking Day!

In honor of National Scrapbooking Day we are having a Mini Crop over at Turtle Soup. All sorts of fun challenges going on along with some fun games and of course some prizes. For my challenge I want you to use stencils/templates in some way.

I used a chevron stencil, that I just got, with some texture paste and mixed in some gold gelato and gold glitter paste. All the papers are from a DCWV Seaside Yacht Stack. I love these nautical papers.

So come celebrate NSD with us at Turtle Soup! Hope to see you there!
