Thanksgiving Slim Line Card

We've got a new card sketch challenge up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. This week the sketch is of a slim line card. I find these so fun to make! I hope you'll come join us!

Here's the sketch

This was such an easy card! I cut the Happy out on my Cricut and then stamped and embossed the Thanksgiving flag. Easy Peasy!

Happy Valentines Day

I've got a challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. Our theme this month is All About Dr. Seuss. Each challenge is based on one of his books. For this challenge I chose the book I Can Draw It Myself and you must draw something and color it in or stamp something and color it in or use a child's piece of artwork and doodle on your page.

I've had this coloring page by my granddaughter hanging on my fridge for a couple of years now and thought it would be perfect for this challenge. I also doodled around the page and then stamped some images and colored them in.

We've got a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's sketch is by Bev Code and it is a fun sketch that you can get messy with.

Here's the sketch

The yellow background paper is from Recollections Ombre Brights collection and then I just used a stencil to add the blue dots around the page. The stitching is all drawn by hand since my sewing machine didn't want to work for me....seems to be happening more and more but then again it's about 40 years old. The circle scribbles are an old Tim Holtz Sizzix die and the title was cut on my Cricut.

Dr. Seuss Day

I've got a new challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. Our theme this month is Dr. Seuss. Each challenge will be centered on a Dr. Seuss book. I hope you'll stop by and check out all the different ideas and challenges the Design Team members have come up with.

The book I chose was The Cat in the Hat which is about the mischief that Thing 1 and Thing 2 get into. And isn't this the perfect photo for this challenge. Every year my granddaughters school has a Dr. Seuss Day and everyone is encouraged to dress up.
For this challenge you will need to use a photo of 2 people and you must use the colors red, white and black only. I started with some white cardstock and added the red polka dots using a stencil. I added the washi tape and cut the Thing 1 & 2 out on my Cricut along with the title. I double matted the photo, added some red and black Nuvo Drops and called it done.

Thank You Card

There's a new card sketch up over at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. Every Monday we have a new card sketch challenge for you. Then on Wednesday we reveal all the DT members examples and announce the winner from the previous week's challenge. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Here's my card

Here's the sketch

My card doesn't look like the sketch but sometimes that happens. The flowers were done using a layering stencil and die from Pink Fresh. I've wanted to try a layering stencil for quite a while and I finally bought one! I love it....can't believe how easy it is! Anyway....I then die cut the thank you 3 times and glued them all together.  The background paper is a piece of linen-like paper that I embossed with a brick pattern.

Space Mountain

I've got a new challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Dr. Seuss and each challenge will be based on one of his books. My challenge today is based on Oh, The Thinks You Can Think. This book celebrates the imagination and encourages young readers to think. So my challenge to you is to use speech/thought bubbles on your page. They can be die cut or hand drawn. A favorite quote from the book is  “Think left and think right and think low and think high." So I'm thinking you need to place your photos on the left, right, top or bottom of your page.

As you can see, I placed my photo on the left side of my page and my thought bubbles were cut with my Cricut. Then I added some stencil work across the page and in the right hand corners along with some Disney stickers.
