Cupcakes Forever

I hope that everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and was able to spend time with family, friends and enjoy some good food. Today I was able to take a break and play in my scraproom. I happened to come across a card challenge blog called Cardz 4 Galz and they have a cute challenge going on so I thought I'd play along. They are also looking for some new DT members so I thought I'd apply for one of their open positions. It sounds like a great DT to be on. Anyway......here's my card for their cupcake challenge.

I started with a black card base and layered some blue paper from Lawn Fawn on top. I embossed some cream colored paper with a birthday embossing folder and then inked over it with some pink ink. I die cut the postage stamp pieces and stamped the cupcakes. I used Prima watercolors to color in the cupcake wrapper and then added some Sparkle N Sprinkle Snow Glitter for the icing. The cherry on top is a drop of red Nuvo Drops. I stamped and die cut the Cupcakes Forever banner by Lawn Fawn. It's hard to see here but I popped up all three pieces to give the card some dimension.

Christmas Card

It's that time of year again and here come the Christmas cards. This one I did for the Cards In Envy challenge. You had to make a card using only paper and no other kind of embellishments. Here's what I came up with.

Santa's sleigh and reindeer were all cut out on my Cricut and then popped up on top of some snowflake embossed paper.

Pandora

I've got a layout up today over at the Sketches in Thyme Blog. It's a great sketch but one I usually have a hard time with since it had 3 photos. That's a problem for me because I don't print my own photos so all of mine are 4x6 and they just don't fit on the page. So I searched for some I could cut down and found the perfect ones. These photos were taken when we got to go to the Sneak Peak of Walt Disney World's new section of Pandora at the Animal Kingdom. It was so much fun seeing it before the general public. Anyway......here's my layout.

Here's the sketch

I hope you'll stop by our blog and play along. You have all month to post your take on this sketch.

Tinker Bell

I've got a Stash Challenge up today at Creative Inspiration. My challenge is to use up some of the ribbon in your stash. If you're like me you have quite a bit of ribbon and I hardly ever use it.

I took some white flower ribbon and wrapped it with some pink ribbon. Then added some pink and green flowers to it. This was a quick and simple layout. I didn't want to take away from the cute photo of my 2, almost 3 year old, granddaughter all dressed up for Halloween a few years ago.
