Thinking of You

We've got a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new card sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal all the DT Members examples and announce the winners from the previous week. So stop by and play along with us! This week's sketch is so pretty and versatile.

Here's the sketch

Unfortunatley I needed a sympathy card and I thought this sketch would make a nice one. The background papers are from an old MFT Watercolor Wishes pad and the flowers are an old MFT stamp and die set called Scribble Flowers. The butterfly is from Martha Stewart and I have no idea where the stamp came from.

Beach Babes

We've got a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's sketch is by Rochelle Spears and it is super cute. As soon as I saw it I knew I would be doing a beach theme layout.

Here's the sketch

All the papers here are from an old DCWV stack called Seaside Yacht.  Actually, everything on this layout is pretty old. I just dug through my stash and found the porthole windows, washi tape and little blue hearts. I love using up old stuff....just means I can buy more new stuff!

Right Way/ Wrong Way

There's a new sketch challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today.  This month we are celebrating our 5th Annual Mad About Sketches theme. Every challenge is based on a sketch and there are some awesome sketches this year, all by Laura Rumble.

Here's the sketch

This was such a fun sketch to work with and I followed it  closely which is something I very rarely do but I really liked this sketch. My background is watercolor that I smooshed around and then added the yellow washi tape. Then I just grabbed some scraps, layered the photos and shapes on them
and some embellishments and called it done.

Pool Time

I've got a new sketch challenge up today over at Cookin' Up Creations. This month we are celebrating our 5th annual Mad about Sketches. This year's sketches are by Laura Rumble and they are awesome!

Here's the sketch

Isn't this a fun sketch!! I searched and searched for photos I could cut into stars and couldn't come up with any so I just decided to use 3x3 photos and then mounted them on stars. The stars were cut using dies and the title was cut with my Cricut. Quite an easy sketch to follow!

Christmas Card

We've got a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we showcase all the DT members examples and announce the winners from the week before. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us! When I saw this sketch I just knew I had to make a Christmas card. It was perfect for a new Christmas stamp and die I had just received.

Here's the sketch

I have just started using background stamps and I love them. They just add so much to a card, at least in my opinion. They can be subtle using watermark ink or bold by using any color of ink to match the rest of your card. If you haven't tried them yet, you don't know what you're missing!

New Glasses

I've got a new sketch challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. Join us as we celebrate our 5th Annual - Mad about Sketches month featuring sketches provided to us by the very talented Laura Rumble. You can find her sketches on Instagram and beadsbuttonsandbirds.

Today's sketch is just so much fun. I really had fun with it!

Here's the sketch

This is like the 3rd sketch I had to work with last month that involved big circles. I dug through my stash and found some very old Fiskars circle maker templates....completely forgot I had them. They worked great to get perfectly round circles. I just used some alcohol markers to make all the dots and dashes. The little paper circles were cut with my Cricut along with the title and then I added some little punched hearts along with some Nuvo Drops.
