Making Spirits Bright

There's a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new one ever Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners and reveal the DT members cards.

Here's my card

I decide to make another Christmas card. I used papers from a Recollections Red and White Christmas paper pad I've had for a couple of years.

Live, Laugh, Love

There's a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's sketch is by Brenda Ragsdale. I hope you'll check it out and play along with us.

Here's my layout

I dug through my collections and finally pulled out one from Fancy Pants from 2014 called True Friend. There wasn't much left of the collection but there was just enough for this sketch. The Live, Laugh, Love is from Me & My Big Ideas Pocket Pages Cards. The shine button is from Creative Embellishments and the tags are from Kaiser Kraft's Seaside Collection.
The photos aren't that great but I love the big smiles on my granddaughter's face.

Joy to the World

We've got a new card sketch challenge up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners and reveal the DT members cards.

Here's the sketch

When I saw this sketch I thought it would be perfect for a Christmas card. I started by cutting the snowflakes out with my Cricut and then sprayed them with some blue and white glimmer mist. Then I embossed some white cardstock with a snowfall embossing folder and brushed on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. The banner is a die cut from Lawn Fawn called Bannertastic and the sentiment is from Pink and Main.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sunset

I've got a new challenge up over at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Careers. Each challenge will focus on a different career. For my career, I chose Astronomer, someone who studies planets, starts and other celestial bodies. My example shows a sunset at Topsail Beach, NC.

I started with a white background and sprayed some blue and copper mists around and used a chicken wire stencil also. I stamped some beach grasses too. The papers were from my scrap pile and I pulled out some cork paper for the triangles and flags. Then I just added some beachy embellishments and some coconut shell buttons.
I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Happy Scrapping!
