Cheers

There's a new challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Christmas Movies. Each challenge will be based on a Christmas movie. Since it's the last couple days of the year I chose the movie Happy New Year Charlie Brown and the challenge is to use some gold and lots of sparkle.

I started with a black background and stenciled two corners with gold stencil paste. Then used glitter papers for all the other elements of the layout. The title and champagne glasses were cut with my Cricut and the hearts were all done with a tiny punch.

Merry & Bright

We've got a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new one every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal all the DT Members and the previous week's winners. I hope you'll join us and play along!

Here's my example

Here's the sketch

Again, I stayed close to this sketch also. I wasn't sure about the black card but decided to try it and found I really like it with the plaid paper. The wreath and the gold ribbon was cut with a die from Amy Designs. The sentiment is from a new set from Recollections which I embossed and then just added some red Nuvo drops for the wreath berries.

Cake by Disney

There's a new sketch up today at Sketches in Thyme on our Facebook page! This week's sketch is by the talented Rochelle Spears. This is a fun yet easy sketch you can really make your own. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Here's the sketch

I went with a Disney theme and papers. Most Disney papers are super busy so this was a perfect sketch for them. The title was cut using the Waltograph font on my Cricut. The little acrylic hearts are from Fawnies on Ninth found on Etsy. (they have the cutest acrylic pieces)

Bye Bye Elves

There's a new challenge up today over at Cookin' Up Creations. This month is all about our favorite Christmas movies. All challenges will be tied into the movies. For my challenge I chose The Elf on the Shelf movie.  My granddaughters have enjoyed having the elves visit every Christmas since they were babies…they’re now 15 and 12 years old….and they still look forward to seeing them. Who wouldn’t since the elves now bring little presents every night!

This layout is about my youngest granddaughter saying good bye to the elves. My challenge is to use red and green, layering and some sparkle such as sequins, gems acrylic pieces etc.

I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Happy Scrapping!

Warm Wishes

We've got a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new one every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal all the DT Members and the previous week's winners. I hope you'll join us and play along!

Here's my example

Here's the sketch

I stayed real close to the sketch. I started with some plain blue cardstock and stamped snowflakes around it using Versamark watermark ink. The blue scalloped circle was cut from some blue foil paper on my Cricut. I also cut the light blue circle with my Cricut and watermark stamped it with the snowflake stamp. The sentiment is from a new Recollections stamp set which I embossed.
I love the simplicity of this sketch and my card.
