Masculine Birthday Card

There's a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today and we are also partnering with The Double Trouble Challenge Blog this week.

We are using our sketch  #478 along with their challenge #114 which is to make your own YouNique Technique meaning you need to create your own background. I hope you'll come play along with us!

Here's our sketch

Here's my card which is for my brother's birthday. The 55 is really for his age but it could be the speed limit too.

For my YouNique background I started by stenciling the brick wall. I then took an arrow embossing folder and loaded it up with white ink and embossed  a strip of black paper. The motorcycle is from an old stamp and die set from Sizzix. The 55 was cut with my Cricut. After I got it all assembled, I thought it needed something so I splattered some black mist on the bricks only.

Easter

There's a new challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. This month's theme  is our Annual Scrap "Lift" Your Stash. Meaning you can lift one of your old layouts or someone else's layouts but you must use up some of your stash and we all know we've all got a ton of stash just sitting there.

This is my original layout that I used

My new layout

This used up a lot of scraps but barely put a dent in my supply of flowers.

So Proud

There's a new sketch up today at Sketches in Thyme. We have a new each week and this week's sketch is by Brenda Ragsdale. Stop by and play along with us!

Here's my example

Here's the sketch

This is a very clean and simple sketch and I pretty much followed it closely. I cut the photos out with a Sizzix stiched die set. The diamonds were cut on my Cricut and everything else was just left over scraps I had laying around.

Fall Birthday Shaker Card

There's a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new one every Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners and reveal all the DT members examples. I hope you'll come join us and play along.

Here's the sketch

As soon as I saw this I immediately thought Shaker Card. It's been a while since I've made one so thought I would give it a go. The hardest part was getting the star in the right place. My star punch is broken and I don't have any star dies that would work so I had to use my Cricut.....it only took about 3 tries to get it right.

Let's Roll

There's a new challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. This month's theme  is our Annual Scrap "Lift" Your Stash. Meaning you can lift one of your old layouts or someone else's layouts but you must use up some of your stash and we all know we've all got a ton of stash just sitting there.

This is my lift

The papers are from an old DCWV Pocket  Blossom stack. The hearts and stars are from Fawnies on Ninth at Etsy...love their acrylic embellies. It's a simple page but I managed to use up the two long strips of paper I had saved and even the photo mats came from my scrap pile.
