Learning to Skate

I've got a challenge up today over at Cookin' Up Creations. Our theme this month is to reduce, recycle and re-use and since it's Monday I also have a fun sketch for you to use. Along with the sketch you have to find something around your house that you can use to create your background. On my layout I took a nylon bath loofah, dipped it into some blue paint and squished it around my background paper. I love how it came out!

Fabulous

We've got a Mini Crop going on over at Creative Inspiration and this month's theme is colors. Each DT member has picked a specific color or two for their challenge. I chose to use pink and teal. I really like that combination together.

This was an easy layout with just layering. I dug into my stash of scraps and found
 everything I needed.

I hope you'll stop by and check out all the other colors.

Trolls

I've got a challenge up today over at Cookin' Up Creations. Our theme this month is based on reusing, reducing and recycling - whether it be in your personal life or with your scrapbooking supplies, focusing on finding new ways to use and repurpose items in our stash.......the possibilities are limitless.

For my challenge I chose to reuse an old sunburst stencil...can't even remember when I last used it....and a large B that I had cut in error with my Cricut a few months ago. I almost threw it away but decided to hold onto it just in case. It just so happens that my granddaughter's name is Brylie so it works perfectly here. I just needed to fancy it up with some buttons and flowers and even decided to add some Nuvo Drops to it.

Magical

I've got a sketch reveal up at Sketches in Thyme today. I think this week's sketch is fabulous! I had so much fun with it. I dug through my stash and used things I haven't played with in years.

Fun Times

I've got a challenge up over at Creative Inspiration today. I chose to do something that was quite a challenge for me. I tried my best to use minimal paper, other than the background, on my layout and I think I did pretty well. The only paper is the very small mats behind the photos. Everything else is stickers and ephemera from a very old collection that I hardly ever use since it is geared towards boys and I never scrap boys.

So my challenge is to make something with a very minimal amount of paper.

Soak Up The Sun

I've got a challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. For this month's theme we are celebrating Mother Earth by reusing or recycling things on our layouts. I decided to recycle some yellow netting from a bag of lemons.

This was a quick and easy page. I used a stencil and modeling paste to make the white waves behind the photo. Once that dried, I laid down the netting, matted the photo and added all the little embellies. Some of the embellies, like the flip flops and flowers, are at least 15 years old. I used some Glossy Accents to make the little water droplets around the page.
