Christmas Card

 We've got a new card sketch up today at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. We have a new one every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal the Dt members examples and announce the previous week's three winners.

I have to admit, when I first saw this sketch I was stumped. So I dragged out my 6x6 paper pads and it finally came together for me. Actually, this sketch is perfect for using your paper pads where the papers all match. So I followed the sketch almost exactly. I just did the sentiment strip a little differently but I'm very happy with it and I have a Christmas card done! So all in all, it worked out perfectly!

Happy Birthday

 There's a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's fun sketch is by the Shawn Lahr.

I had to change it up a bit by flipping my photos. The circle behind the photos was cut out with my Cricut along with the stars. The Happy Birthday title was a gift from a friend and all the little hearts and dots just happened to be left over, sitting on my desk. Just a couple days ago I was about to throw them out and then noticed they matched the title so I decided to keep them. Glad I did!

School Days

 There's a new sketch up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month we are celebrating our 7th Annual Mad About Sketches featuring sketches from the talented Jenessa Franco. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us....there are lots of fun sketches to choose from.

Here's the sketch

This was a fun sketch to work with. I took some doilies and inked them up with some Distress Oxides. Then dug into my scraps and pulled out the blue and pink papers to match my granddaughter's dress. The stars were cut using Stitched Stars from Tutti Designs. I also added some pink and blue splatters on the white background.

This was a fun sketch. I had a bunch of scraps from Easter cards on my desk and I thought they would be perfect for a Mother's Day card for my stepdaughter. I cut the papers all different lengths and widths and arranged them kinda haphazardly and then added the top pink and purple cardstock pieces. Stamped it with a stamp I've had forever and added the little purple pearls.

So Excited

Here's the sketch

As soon as I saw this sketch I knew it would be perfect for a Disney page. I got out my circle dies and went to town which used up a lot of my Disney paper scraps. I also added some black and red splatters to the background and instead of hearts I used stars and Mickey heads.
