Blessed

There's a new card sketch up today at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. We have a new one every Monday. On Wednesdays we announce the top three winners from the previous week and showcase the DT members cards. I hope you'll come play along with us.

Here's the sketch

I started with some white cardstock and embossed it using a background metal die. Then cut it into 3 pieces and used 3 different shades of Distress Oxide Inks to color them. I added the small strip of fall paper and the sentiment along with some die cut acorns. This was a quick and easy card!

Back to School

There's a new challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. This month's theme is all about sketches. The best part of that is all the sketches are by Brenshevia. I've always loved her sketches. I hope you'll stop by and check them out!

Here's the sketch

Isn't this a fun sketch! I got to use up all sorts of scraps from a very old Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6x6 paper pad. I followed the sketch exactly except for the title placement. I used my hexagon punch and went to town.

Showdown

There's a new sketch up today over at Sketches in Thyme. Our sketch this week is by Shawn Lahr and it's a fun one. Come play along with us.

Here's the sketch

I started with a busy background but it reminded me of the bams and pows from the old cartoons and I thought it would go well with the bumper car pics. The patterned papers are from a very old DCWV paper stack that was one of the first paper pad purchases I ever made and it was on sale so I'm guessing it's about 20 yrs old. I cut the light blue circle with my Cricut and the stitched stars are die cuts from Tutti Designs. Everything else was from my scrap pile and you know how I love to use that up!

Mother's Day Card

There's a new card sketch up today at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners along with showing the DT members examples of the new sketch. I hope you'll come play along with us!

Here's the sketch

I'll be honest and tell you that this sketch really through me for a loop. I just couldn't figure out what to do with it so I started pushing some papers around and found this purple and teal color combination that I really liked. Then I took some Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide Inks and brayered them on my gel plate. I stamped the MFT Script Stamp in Villainous Potion Distress Ink. The rectangles were cut from some MFT Frame Dies. The flowers and the sentiment are from a Pink Fresh stamp, stencil and die cut set. The inside has a Happy Mother's Day sentiment.

Love This Life

There's a new challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is all about sketches and we are so happy to say all the sketches are by Brenshevia. I have always liked her sketches so I'm really excited to work with them.

Here is my take on our first sketch

Here is the sketch

I followed this sketch very closely because I loved it so much. The background paper is an old Invisibles! by Heidi Swapp from 2009. I don't think they make them anymore. They come all white and then you can ink them up to reveal the design. I used the Kitch Flamingo Distress Oxide to ink it up and all the papers are from an old collection from Simple Stories called Vintage Bliss.

I hope you'll stop by and play along with us. There will be a new sketch every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and of course there is a prize drawing at the end of the month.
