Family

We've got a mini crop going on at Creative Inspiration and the theme for this month is Anything Goes. I chose Family Fun for my challenge. The only requirement is to use one or more fun family photos. This photo is my family on our trip to Myrtle Beach back in April. We only spent about 3 days together but it was so much fun to see each other again.

I started with a white background and added some blue watercolor paint in random spots. I then used a script stamp and randomly stamped where the photo was going and also used several heart stamps around the page. I cut down a doily and inked it to match and then added some washi tape. The title was cut with my Cricut. Simple, fast and easy!

I hope you'll come join us at Creative Inspiration and play along with the challenges in our mini crop.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter

I've got a sketch reveal challenge going on over at Sketches in Thyme. This sketch uses a lot of photos but I had to improvise since I never seem to have 6 photos alike. Here's my take on this week's sketch.

Here's the sketch

Once I figured out what I wanted to do with the sketch I had fun putting all the embellies together. Once that was done it came together quickly.
I hope you'll stop by Sketches in Thyme and check out all the different DT member's takes on this weeks sketch. And of course, we'd love to have you play along with us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hay There

We've got a card and layout DT sketch reveal going on today at Creative Inspiration. Every Sunday we have this challenge and I love seeing all the different takes from our DT members. I decided to use the card sketch this week.

Here's the sketch

I just loved this sketch with the pocket! I immediately felt like I had to do a down on the farm theme with this sketch. As  you can see I turned the sketch. For the pocket I took some Core'dinations whitewashed color core paper and distressed it to bring out the blue so it would look more like a jean pocket. I stitched around the edges by hand and added the rivets to the top of the pocket. I wanted to use some red checked paper but couldn't find any so settled for the blue and die cut the frame with some red paper.  I die cut the rooster, hen and little chick and colored them with Spectrum Noir markers. I stamped the chicken within the frame and added the little tag and also stamped the tag with hay there. I had so much fun making this card.

I hope you'll stop by Creative Inspiration to check out our reveal and play along with us!
