Here's the sketch

This was a very quick and easy card to make. I started with a gray card base and added some black splatters around it. I added the two strips of complimentary papers and some silver glitter washi tape. I die cut the flower using an MFT collection out of the same floral paper and added the Thanks. It's hard to see but I also added some silver Nuvo Glitter Drops.

Happy Thanksgiving

 I've got a new challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Clue the Scrap Game. All challenges will be based on the board game of Clue. Today's challenge is based on the Conservatory so you'll need to use lots of colorful flowers on your layout.

I started with a white background and painted on some orange watercolor and flung little droplets of the same color around the page. Then I used 2 different Pinkfresh layering stencils and diecut sets for all the flowers. I also added several brads, hearts and enamel dots around the page too. The title was cut with my Cricut.

Meeting Hades

There's a new sketch challenge up today at Sketches in Thyme. This week's sketch is a great CAS sketch and I thought it would be perfect for these photos. I really didn't want to take away from them because I know they mean so much to my granddaughter. She got to meet Cheyenne Jackson who played Hades in Descendants 3. She was so excited she couldn't help but cry the whole time!

This came together so quickly. The photos were pretty dark so I decided to mat them with white and black to make them stand out. The journaling was printed on my computer and then I just tore the edges. I'm seeing a lot of torn edges lately and I really like that look. Then I just die cut lots of stars and scattered them around. I hope you'll come join us and play along!

It's Easter

 There's a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners and show all the DT members examples of the current sketch. This week we have a CAS sketch and I thought it would be perfect for an Easter card.

I used a stencil for the background and some Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink. I die cut the scalloped circle, stamped the bunny and colored him in with watercolor pencils. The banner is die cut from an MFT die and stamped with a stamp I've had forever. Then just added some Nuvo Drops in iridescent white.

Beach & Sun

 I've got a new challenge up at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Clue the Scrap Game. Each challenge will revolve around a person, a room or a weapon from the board game Clue. For every challenge you enter a layout in, you will get a clue as to who committed the murder just like you do in the board game. The first person to guess who committed the murder in which room and which weapon they used wins. We play this every year and it is so much fun. 

I chose Mrs. White for my challenge and decided to do a completely white layout, other than the photo. Talk about a challenge! Everything must be white on the layout. I added a lot of texture on my page using wood veneer painted white and then sprinkled with white glitter. I also used white modeling paste to create the waves and some white Nuvo Drops. I also diecut some starfish on my Cricut and added some white stone Nuvo Drops to give them some dimension.
