Flowers Everywhere!

Over at the Just Imagine Blog the DT has a card reveal going on today. The theme was flowers.

For this card I used my Cricut to cut out the intricate white floral cut and then backed it with some multicolored paper. For the purple doily, I traced the Kreaxions star template and then punched the corners with Kreaxions punch #311 with the A insert. I used a Spellbinder die to cut out the white leaves and added them on top along with some twine. Then just added the flowers and it was done!

Thinking of you

I've got a card up over at the Just Imagine Crafts Blog today. It was such an easy card and I love how it turned out.

I used a piece of Tim Holtz's frosted sheets and embossed it with my Cuttlebug. I took some turquoise cardstock and folded it over the top of the embossed sheet and punched the edge using Kreaxions punch #920 without any insert. Then just stamped and embossed the sentiment.
I will definitely use this technique whenever I need a quick card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Enjoy

I've got a challenge up at Turtle Soup. It's a Use Your Stash Challenge and we all know it feels good to use up your scraps!

I turned this into a Recipe Challenge and you had to use at least 3 items from the recipe list and they had to be from your stash. I really had fun with this challenge and I hope you will give it a try. You have until the end of the month to enter.
Hope to see you there!

Enjoy the Small Things

Here's a layout of my youngest granddaughter. The photo was taken on one of her first few days of preschool. She was so excited to start school like her big sister!

This is for the banner challenge at the Turtle Soup Mini Crop going on right now. You just had to use a banner on your project. This banner was left over from my box card so it was perfect timing to make this layout. Just about everything on here is from my scrap pile. Always a good feeling to use up scraps.

Box Card

I have been wanting to make a box card for a while now. I finally purchased the digital Cricut All Occasion Cards cartridge and watched a few videos. It wasn't that hard but it took quite a bit of time to cut everything out.

I love how it turned out and how it folds up flat for mailing. I would have liked to add some more embellishments but then it wouldn't have fit in the envelope.

Here are a couple more photos of it.

This is for my granddaughter's 9th birthday and she's decided she's too old for princess themed parties and I always make a card based on her party theme. I had to come up with something really different and thought a box card would be perfect for her.

This also fits the shaped card challenge at the Turtle Soup Mini Crop going on right now. Stop by and check out all the fun challenges. This month's theme is Die Cuts.

It's Christmas Time Again!

Here's my latest layout of my two granddaughters. I thought last years Christmas card was so cute that I just had to scrap it.

Robin's Nest Products Used

I started by matting the card with red cardstock and then added a bigger mat using Black and White Pine Tree. I stamped and embossed the pine branch with an ivory and gold glitter embossing powder on some red cardstock before I added my matted photo.

I cut the trees with my Cricut and sprinkled them with the ivory and gold glitter embossing powder to give them a frosty look. To melt the embossing powder I heated it from underneath with my heat gun.

The Holiday Hugs and Mistletoe Kisses was fussy cut from a journaling card and popped up. I also added some red pearls for the holly berries. For a finishing touch I sprinkled a few Christmas Dew Drops around to add some more sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!

Card Sketch

I've got a card sketch challenge up at Turtle Soup today. Here's the sketch I used for today's card.

And here's my take on it

I embossed the edges of the cream paper and then lightly ran a light blue ink pad over them and added some yellow bling. I stamped and embossed the flower and sentiment and tied some twine around the lighter blue paper. Added the darker blue paper behind it along with a strip of washi tape and then mounted it on a dark blue card base.

Hope you can stop by the forum and play along with us!

Mother's Day Card

I've got a card up on the Just Imagine Blog today. It's a Mother's Day card I made for my stepdaughter.

I used Kreaxions punch # 307 with the C insert to punch the two corners of the purple printed paper and then just folded the corners back. I added a corner of a square doily, a couple of butterflies, some purple bling and stamped and embossed the sentiment. I'm not a big fan of purple but I like how this turned out with the two different shades of purple and the bit of pink. Purple is my stepdaughter's favorite color and she loved the card which is all that matters.
