We've got a new card sketch up over at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. This is a pretty sketch that can be used for a wedding, birthday, thank you and even a sympathy card.

I die cut several flowers from a Maggie Holmes Flourish collection paper pad, added a strip of washi tape and some Nuvo Drops. I also added a simple sentiment and called it done. Quick and simple and I know I'll be using this sketch over and over again for all sorts of cards.

Happy Birthday

We've got a Mini Crop going on over at Creative Inspiration this week and this month's theme is shapes. I hope you'll stop by, see what the DT members have come up with and play along with us.

I chose hexagons for my layout. I punched them out of some Echo Park Disney papers and laid the black and white polka-dots down flat on the paper and then popped up the Minnie Mouse hexagons to add some dimension.

AHSC #368

We've got a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today and I wanted to share my take on the sketch with you. I used some new stamps and die cuts on this card.

I also tried a new technique (at least for me) on this card. I started with a white piece of cardstock and stamped the flowers in black ink and then embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I used some Distress Oxide inks over them blending the different colors together and then wiped off any ink that was on the embossed images. I love this how this technique turned out and will definitely be using it in the future.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

We've got a mini crop going on over at Cookin' Up Creations today in honor of National Scrapbooking Day. We've got some fun challenges and games going on so stop by and play along with us. Hope to see you there!

I have a color challenge for you. You must use at least 4 different colors other than white, black and brown/tan/kraft. In my example I have used 8 different colors.

I tried to use all the colors in the background of the photo and just laid strips of them down to form a circle. I cut the title out using the same colors and then added some bling to all the strips.

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

We've got a mini crop going on over at Creative Inspiration in honor of NSD. My challenge for the crop is a recipe challenge. You must use twine or ribbon, more than 1 brad, washi tape and a punch.
