Halloween Card Challenge

We're celebrating World Card Making Day over at Turtle Soup and my challenge for you is to make a Halloween Card.  I chose to make a shaped card but you can make any kind of card as long as it has to do with Halloween.

I used my Cricut to cut out the card and then just added several stickers and stickles.

Please leave a comment and become a follower of my blog and I'll enter your name into a random drawing for a RAK from me

Fall Colors

Fall is here and it's my favorite time of year. I love the cool crisp air and all the beautiful colors of the falling leaves. So naturally I had to scrap some fall pictures from a wonderful vacation we took in the White Mountains of New Hampshire before we moved to Florida.  And since Cookin' Up Creations is having a month long Fall Into Autumn theme, this is perfect for me. Today I am hosting a challenge using fall colors with a twist of using your scraps.

Please join us at Cookin' Up Creations for some wonderful fall challenges!

October Happenings

Boy, this year is flying by!  It's October already.  This is my favorite time of year even though I live in Florida.  I really miss the fall colors, crisp air and fall festivals we had when we lived in Maine!  So I'm reliving fall in New England through photos.  Over at Cookin' Up Creations we are celebrating the season with some Fall Into Autumn challenges.

I hope you'll join us.  I'm sure there will be all sorts of inspiration with lots of beautiful layouts.  I'm just so excited, I love scrapping fall photos, the colors are just so rich!

Latest Cards

I finally had some time this weekend to get several cards made. The first was a clean and simple style card for my step daughters birthday. Purple is her favorite color so I think she'll really like this.

And then I decided to make some Halloween cards but I can only reveal one today since the others are for DT challenges.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Back to School

Here is a layout of my oldest granddaughter on her first day of first grade. She just loves school so much. And of course her younger sister had to be in one of the school day pictures. She really misses her big sister when she's at school.

This is also for the Scraplift a Member challenge over at Cookin' Up Creations. This month we used this cute page by Ina.

History Class

I can remember not liking History class when I was in school. It seemed like you always had to remember dates and names.  Little did I know that history would be so much fun when it came to scrapping. Nowadays, history means aging, distressing and vintage to me.  Since Cookin' Up Creations month long theme is Back to School I came up with this layout for my History Class Challenge where I distressed everything on this page except for the background paper.

These photos were taken at the Grand Canyon. It was a rainy day with breaks of sun and it was so pretty watching the showers over the canyon. I was surprised how well these photos came out and you could actually see the showers.

Shadow Box Card

I found this Shadow Box card in a newsletter from Cardmaker Magazine and just had to try it. I love how it folds flat yet has so much dimension when standing. This card is also for the Sunday Card Challenge over at Turtle Soup.

And this is the view looking down into the card.

And since my anniversary is later this week I decided to make my shadow box card as an anniversary card for my husband.  I think he'll really like it!
