Grateful and Blessed

We've got a new card sketch up today at Atlantic Hearts Sketches. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal all the DT Members examples and announce the previous week's winners.

Here's my example

Here's the sketch

I pretty much kept to the sketch completely on this one. I love fall so as soon as I saw the sketch I knew I would go with the fall colors. Everything here came from my scrap pile, even the card base. I used die cuts and my cricut on this card.
I hope you'll stop by, check us out at Atlantic Hearts Sketches and play along!

Happy Scrapping!

Girls Night Out

There's a new sketch up today at Sketches in Thyme. This weeks sketch is by Jenessa Franco. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Here's my layout

I had fun with this sketch. I turned it into a Halloween page. I stamped some Halloween type images around the page with some black ink. Then die cut a bunch of branches and added them behind the photos. The graveyard scene was die cut and then I backed it with some yellow paper thinking it might resemble a spooky moon. I also splattered some black and orange mists around. The title was cut with my Cricut. I thought the font looked kinda spooky and perfect for a Halloween page.

Love You

I love this sketch and I was so tempted to make a fall card, especially since that's my favorite time of year, but I needed an anniversary card for hubby. This card came together quickly. I started by embossing the background with a Darice folder. The 2 hearts were cut on my Cricut and the sentiment is a die cut from Sizzix.

Live, Laugh, Love

There's a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's sketch is by Brenda Ragsdale. I hope you'll check it out and play along with us.

Here's my layout

Here's the sketch

I dug through my collections and finally pulled out one from Fancy Pants from 2014 called True Friend. There wasn't much left of the collection but there was just enough for this sketch. The Live, Laugh, Love is from Me & My Big Ideas Pocket Pages Cards. The shine button is from Creative Embellishments and the tags are from Kaiser Kraft's Seaside Collection.
The photos aren't that great but I love the big smiles on my granddaughter's face.

Joy to the World

We've got a new card sketch challenge up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we announce the previous week's winners and reveal the DT members cards.

Here's the sketch

When I saw this sketch I thought it would be perfect for a Christmas card. I started by cutting the snowflakes out with my Cricut and then sprayed them with some blue and white glimmer mist. Then I embossed some white cardstock with a snowfall embossing folder and brushed on some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. The banner is a die cut from Lawn Fawn called Bannertastic and the sentiment is from Pink and Main.

Sunset

I've got a new challenge up over at Cookin' Up Creations today. This month's theme is Careers. Each challenge will focus on a different career. For my career, I chose Astronomer, someone who studies planets, starts and other celestial bodies. My example shows a sunset at Topsail Beach, NC.

I started with a white background and sprayed some blue and copper mists around and used a chicken wire stencil also. I stamped some beach grasses too. The papers were from my scrap pile and I pulled out some cork paper for the triangles and flags. Then I just added some beachy embellishments and some coconut shell buttons.
I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Happy Scrapping!

Christmas Card

There's a new card sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. Every Monday we have a new sketch and on Wednesday we announce the previous winners and reveal all the DT members cards.

I decided to start on my Christmas cards with this sketch.

Here's the sketch

I had such a hard time getting a good picture of the card. The sentiment is cut from a smooth, shiny glitter paper using an Impression Obsession die. All the papers came from a DCWV stack called Cranberry Christmas.

Isn't this a cute sketch! I really had fun with this card and it came together so quickly. The stitched scalloped rectangle die is from Lawn Fawn and the ice cream goodies are stickers that I've had forever. The stamp is from Stampendous....I use it a lot on my birthday cards.
I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Fenway Park

There's a new sketch up today at Sketches in Thyme. This week's sketch is by Shawn Lahr. I hope you'll come play along with us!

Here's my take on it

Here's the sketch

When I first saw the sketch I was a bit overwhelmed, it seemed like a lot going on, but once I started breaking it down it began to take shape. It's always been hard for me to scrap more than 2 photos on a page but once I found 3 photos that worked together, the rest just fell in place. All the paper came from my scrap pile and I still had some softball stickers left over from other lo's. The title and the softball along the bottom were all cut with my Cricut.
