I found this image of Star Strike on Google images and decided to try out the print then cut feature on my Cricut Explore. What an amazing feature! I saved the image to my computer then played around with the colors a bit, uploaded it to Cricut Design Space, printed it out and cut it. I am just so thrilled with how this turned out. Now I'm thinking I need a better printer if I'm going to do this alot!

Skylanders???
Here's a card I made for my granddaughter's 8th birthday. She's very much into Skylanders and I have absolutely no clue what that is. All I know is Star Strike is her favorite character.

Mother's Day Card
Here's card I made for my step daughter. It also just happens to fit a challenge going on at Turtle Soup where you have to use either real lace or punches that look like lace.
I just layered some punched strips and added the stamp. Very easy card to make. This photo doesn't quite do it justice. It kinda looks black here but it really is purple which just happens to be my step daughter's favorite color.

Our Little Cheerleader
I've got a challenge up at the Turtle Soup Mini Crop going on this week. Our theme this month is use up your stash. I love it when I can use up my stash and I think just about everybody feels the same way. So my challenge is to use buttons on your project.
The papers are all scraps from Simple Stories I Am Collection and the background is left from an old My Minds Eye Collection that I've had for a few years. Can't remember the name!
Please come join in the fun with us and use up your stash. Lots of fun challenges going on!

Birthday Card
Here's a little birthday card I made using a sketch from Sketch-n-Scrap today. It's for a a dear friends daughter who is turning 9 this month. I can't believe how fast she's growing up!
Here's the sketch
To make the pink polka dot paper I used a faux letter press technique with an embossing folder. That is such an easy way to add more interest to an embossed piece of white cardstock. I also embossed the two little banners and added the washi tape cupcakes. The presents and balloon are some stickers I've had in my stash for a while.
This also fits a Crash Your Stash challenge at Turtle Soup where you had to use your embossing folders. I use my embossing folders a lot so this was an easy challenge for me.
Easter Layout
We have a DT sketch reveal going on today at Turtle Soup. Hope you'll stop by to see the rest of the DT's projects.
And here's the sketch
I have been hoarding this background paper for years now and finally broke down and used it. I thought it was perfect for an Easter layout. I used last years Easter card from my granddaughters for the photo. I cut the bunny out on my cricut along with the grass. The grass paper is an old piece of DCWV grass printed paper, it looks so real with the different shading in the paper. The little chicks, flowers and jellybeans are some very old stickers I found in my stash and then I stamped the doilies and added a jewel in the centers.

Turtle Soup Blog Hop
I'm so excited to be a part of the Turtle Soup Design Team Spring Blog Hop. Our theme is All Things Spring and I know a lot of you are really hoping for Spring to show up soon. The hop will run from Friday, April 3rd through Thursday, April 9th and the winner of the hop will be announced on Friday, April 10th.
For my project I decided to alter a small birdhouse. I haven't altered anything in quite a while so I thought it might be fun for a change.
I painted the whole birdhouse black and covered it with some Graphic 45 Birdsong collection papers. I added some moss around the base and on one side. I then took some floral wire and wrapped it around the house and added a couple of butterflies. Maybe I should call this a butterfly house!
Now on to the rest of the blog hop. You need to visit all of the blogs listed below and be sure to leave a comment at each blog in order to be eligible for the grand prize. Finish up at the Turtle Soup Magazine blog and leave a comment there also.
