I needed a card for my granddaughter and this sketch worked out perfectly. I found the heart on Cricut Design Space and just knew she would get a big kick out of it. The whole card was made from scraps which always makes me happy!

Thinking of You Card

Here's the sketch

I started by brushing on 3 different colors of Distress Oxide ink for the background. Then using some stamps from MFT, I stamped the images in black and added the sentiment. Pretty easy card but it took me all day to get the stamping the way I liked it.

 We've got a new sketch up at Sketches in Thyme today. This week's sketch is by Jenessa Franco. I loved this sketch as soon as I saw it!

I got to use up a lot of scraps on this layout, actually, everything on here is from my scrap pile! Then just added all the embellies and it was done. Quick and easy but looks like a lot of work here.

NYE 2018

 I've got a new challenge up today at Cookin' Up Creations. This month's theme is Just Like Grandma Used to Make. We will be taking actual cooking recipes and turning them into layout recipes by taking each recipe and coming up with a scrappy item to represent each ingredient. Sounds like fun, right?

This recipe is from a dear Aunt of mine. She always made these at Christmas. They are delicious! Each challenge will have the full recipe in it so you can try out the recipe and make a layout from it. Apple Picking

Llama Love

We have a new sketch every Monday and on Wednesday we reveal the DT members examples and announce the top 3 winners from the week before. This week's card sketch is for a slim-line card. I'm really starting to like the slim-line cards since you can get so much more on the card.

I have had these llama stamps and dies by Recollections for the longest time and as soon as I saw this sketch I knew I had to use them. That plus I needed a birthday card for a good friend who is crazy about llamas. The tickled pink sentiment is from an MFT stamp set and it just went perfectly with the pink llamas. The patterned paper is from a Paper Studio stack.
