Cupcake Birthday Card

This card was done for a challenge at the Turtle Soup Birthday Bash. You had to use a cupcake on your project.

This came together so quickly. I embossed the top half and added some scrap paper for the bottom and placed washi tape over the seam. The cupcake was a 3-D sticker I've had in my stash forever and even the yellow scalloped circle was from my stash of scraps. Easy Peasy!

Smile

Here's a layout of my granddaughter at her 7th birthday. I used a sketch from Sketch N Scrap.

and here's the sketch

All the papers are from MME 's The Sweetest Thing Collection and the embellies are from a different  mix of collections but they all seem to work together.

This also fits a challenge at the Birthday Bash going on at Turtle Soup. You had to use a photo of a birthday cake on your project.

So Excited

Here's another birthday layout for the Turtle Soup Birthday Bash going on this month.

And here's the sketch we had to work with

I used a couple of cute photos of my granddaughter opening up her birthday presents. She let out the loudest scream and was so excited as you can tell from the blurry photo.

I stamped on my background paper using Versamark ink and then cut the presents out on my Cricut. Added a bit of ribbon, some doilies, washi tape and rub-on stitching. I also added some hidden journaling behind the top photo. I really liked this sketch so the layout came together quickly.

Hope you can join us at Turtle Soup for our Birthday Bash. Lots of fun challenges and games with some amazing prize packages. If you do this challenge you'll be entered into a drawing for a prize. Hope to see you there!

Christmas Card

I can't believe I actually made a Christmas card this early in the year. A definite first for me!
Anyway, this is for one of the Birthday Bash Challenges at Turtle Soup. It was a card sketch and after seeing someone else do a Christmas card, I just had to do one myself.

And here's the sketch:

This came together quickly and it was all made with scraps! Love when that happens!

Anniversary Card

Here's a card I made for one of the Birthday Bash challenges at Turtle Soup. You could only use 2 colors of cardstock and it had to be an anniversary card.

I embossed the red cardstock with an Anna Griffin embossing folder and the white swirly die cut was also from Anna Griffin. I punched the butterfly out with a Martha Stewart punch. It's hard to see here but I punched 1 red and 1 white butterfly and layered them and then added some red pearls.

Happy Scrapping!

7th Birthday

Here's a layout of my granddaughter's 7th birthday party. It was at a place where the kids could decorate t-shirts that would glow in the dark which is why the photos are sooooo dark. They sure had a fun time!

I did this layout using the Sketch N Scrap July 1st sketch. It was perfect for these photos.

This also fits a challenge at the Turtle Soup Birthday Bash where you had to use a number on your layout.

Celebrate

Well, it's time for another DT sketch reveal at Turtle Soup! Please stop by and check out all the different takes on the sketch.

I just found my oldest granddaughter's 1st Birthday invitation and her thank you card for her gift and decided it would be perfect for the Turtle Soup Birthday Celebration going on this month. She wasn't having a very good day and this is probably the only photo that she is smiling in.

I cut the banner, ribbon curls and the title on my Explore. I fought with the machine when I was cutting out the title but I finally won the battle. I am slowly learning how to use the Explore, it's a bit confusing but thank goodness for You Tube! I'd be lost without it!

Me and Nana

This was a fun layout! It's for a recipe challenge at the Turtle Soup Birthday Bash that uses your birthday to determine your recipe.

My recipe was 2 photos, 4 printed papers, paint. flowers, chipboard and a title. For the paint I took a bath pouf and dipped it in paint and then pressed it on black cardstock. I love how it looks like I just flung paint on it.

If your looking for some fun challenges, come check out the birthday bash going on at Turtle Soup. Lots of great challenges and games with an amazing bunch of prizes. Our sponsors were very generous! Hope to see you there!

Fun with Stickers

Here's a fun layout that I've been meaning to do for several years now. We gave a Dora themed sticker/coloring book to my oldest granddaughter when her baby sister was born and she had a ball with it. She quickly colored everything she could in the book and then started sticking all the stickers on my arms. She thought that was hilarious! I managed to keep two of the stickers to use on this page. I've been holding on to them for about 4 years now.

This was also for a challenge over at Turtle Soup back in June. Little late about blogging it but at least I didn't wait 4 years!

Happy Scrapping!
