Autumn Greetings

We've got a new sketch up at Atlantic Hearts Sketches today. It's so cute and there are so many possibilities. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Here's the sketch

I started by inking up some white cardstock with some fossilized amber Distress Oxide and flicked some water on it. Then took some watercolor paper and randomly painted different fall colors all over it. I then diecut the stitched leaves out of it and added even more paint to get a better fall feel. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and inked the edges and added several orange Nuvo Drops.

Joyful Wishes

I've got another Christmas card today up on the Dies R Us Blog. I am just loving all the new Christmas dies and the one I used on this card is just so much fun!

Isn't this reindeer so cute! I love how you can customize it!
When I got the die I was a bit confused on how to use it so I went ahead and cut out some white cardstock. Then it all made sense!

I then went back and cut out the antlers and ears using brown cardstock, the hat using red cardstock and the eyes using black cardstock.
To assemble the card, I started with a kraft cardstock base. I took a piece of white cardstock and covered it in Bundled Sage Distress Oxide and then flicked water on it. Once that was dry I flicked white paint all over it. I placed all the reindeer pieces on and then stamped and embossed the sentiment. I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops for the nose and added several under the sentiment.

Supplies Used

Tutti Designs - Dies - Build A Reindeer Face

Lawn Fawn - Winter Scripty Sentiments Stamps

Distress Oxide Ink Pad - Bundled Sage
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Gloss Red Berry

Congrats

I've got a Use Your Stash Challenge up today over at Creative Inspiration. I decided to give you a short list of items to use on your layout. If you don't have them all, that's ok, just use what you have.

You must use stamps, a stencil, mist or paint and some scraps. On mine the mats are from my
scrap pile, the stars were made with a stencil and modeling paste, I flicked red mist all over the page
and I used several graduation stamps.

I hope you'll stop by and play along with us!

Have a scrappy day!

Warm Winter Wishes

I've got another Christmas card to share with you today and show you another way to use your dies over at the Dies R Us Blog. It's never to early to start on your Holiday cards!

I wanted the Poinsettias in this Tutti die cut to be red so I decided to emboss some red cardstock using the Poinsettia Corner die and then die cut it using some white cardstock.

I then fussy cut the poinsettias out of the red cardstock. It wasn't easy and they don't look very pretty by themselves.

Then, using some ScraPerfect Best Glue Ever, I glued the fussy cut pieces to the back of the white die cut.

To put the card together, I used a white card base and embossed some light blue cardstock with a snowfall embossing folder. It really made the Poinsettia Corner die cut pop. The sentiment, from Lawn Fawn's Winter Scripty Sentiments, was stamped and embossed.

Supplies Used

Tutti Designs - Dies - Poinsettia Corner

Lawn Fawn - Winter Scripty Sentiments Stamps

Oh Happy Day! MFT Superstar Card Design Challenge

I've created another card for the My Favorite Things SuperStar 2019 Card Design Challenge.

This card is for the Innovation Master category. I haven't made a shaker card in a while so I thought why not give it a try. I started with some Neenah Solar White cardstock and sponged in the clouds using a couple different colors of ink and also sponged in the grass. I stamped and die cut the cute little piggy from the MFT So Much Cuteness set and colored him in using some Spectrum Noir pens. The balloon was cut using the MFT Mini Balloon Shaker Window die so of course I used the matching MFT shaker pouch. I added some seed beads and star sequins to the balloon and used some black floss for the balloon string. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped on the MFT Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips dies. I popped up the little piggy and sentiment and then used some more Neenah Solar White cardstock for the card base.

This card brings a big smile to my face and I hope the recipient finds it as cute as I do!

Christmas Birds

We've got a new card sketch up today over at the Atlantic Hearts Sketches Blog. I hope you'll stop by and play along with us.
I've decided to get a jump on my Christmas cards this year and I'm really enjoying using these sketches for ideas.

Here's the sketch

This sketch forced me to get out some old Martha Stewart punch around the page punches. Had to start all over figuring out how to use them again but I managed and I love how this came together.

Snowflake Mandala - MFT Superstar Card Design Challenge

I was just at the My Favorite Things store with my husband (aka my enabler) and he pointed out this mandala die and called it a snowflake. So of course I had to have it! I cut it out using Neenah Solar White cardstock and then sponged several different shades of blue ink on it. To add some sparkle to it I used my clear Wink of Stella pen all over it. The base of the card is also Neenah Solar White cardstock and I used some craft foam to pop the top panel up to give the card some depth. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and then layered it on a blue fishtail strip.

I created this card using the My Favorite Things Captivating Mandala Die, Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Dies and the Snow Globe Sentiments Stamps. I just love how this clean
 and simple card turned out.

Whoa!

We've got a new sketch up today over at Sketches in Thyme. You have the rest of the month to play along and there will be a new sketch every week.
Here's a cute page about my granddaughter on a ride when we were at Ocean City, NJ. She had a dress on and as the ride went down her dress went up. I just love the expression on her face.
 Just had to scrap it!

Fall into a Good Time

It's Sunday so that means we have a new card and new layout sketch up over at Creative Inspiration. We'd love for you to play along with us!

Here's the sketch

I fell in love with this sketch and even broke out my sewing machine to do the stitching. My machine is so old and I have to fight with every time I use it and today was no different. The first line of stitching came out perfect but not the rest.  Anyway, these are my 2 granddaughters who go to the Topsfield Fair in Mass. every year and we were lucky enough to go with them this year. We had a lot of fun and took tons of pics which you will be seeing for the next several months.

Anyway, I hope you'll stop by Creative Inspiration and join us!
